Meals, Work, Rules and Restrictions

 

Our food Volunteers eat with the family rice and beans, fruit,and salad are always served. We also make bread, tortillas, empanadas,eggs, cheese, soups, and Meat is occasionally available vegetarians and vegans are easily accommodated.


We offer three meals a day of the best typical Costa Rican food (primarily from our own chemical-free gardens) will be provided each day according to the following schedule:
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 p.m.
Dinner: 7:00 p.m.
We have individual rooms for volunteers,and private cabins as well.
and area for camping if you have your own tent.
The guest house is located near the main family home.

 

Volunteers will typically work Monday through Friday for at least 5 hours a day. Saturday and Sunday are free no work .Breakfast is served from -7:00 and lunch is promptly at 12:00 noon.

 

Rules and restrictions
The rules and restrictions must be:
*Respect others, have a positive and open attitude (we hope you have fun at work, learn and share their own knowledge).
*Be willing to share some social time, learn the language and interact with the local community.
*Please be quiet after 9pm in the rooms and be considerate of other familly end oder volunteers.
*Be committed and willing to fulfill their commitments.
*No drugs or cigarettes in the room.
*Take good care of tools, buildings and equipment throughout training center. You will be asked to return things as good and clean as you got.

 

Additional information, weather conditions, things to bring
We are a rainy tropical climate zone, there is no well-defined summer and winter season. For that reason it is necessary to always be prepared to face any climate condition, advise you to keep the following;
• Repellent
• Sunscreen
• Rubber boots or waterproof shoes work
• raincoat
• Hat
• Long sleeve shirt
• Long pants

 

The location of the farm is relatively strategic, basic services available as; Electricity, water, electricity and satellite cable service, surrounded by nature and great scenic beauty to no more than 1 ½ attractions such as; Rio Celeste, La Fortuna (Arenal Volcano) and Caño Black, just 30 minutes from Tenorio Volcano National Park and a maximum of 3 hours of many major Guanacaste.
Other basic services such as Hospital, shopping center, and firefighters are just 45 minutes away from our Farm
